 21 April
It was a nice funeral. I'm glad that I got to hear abou the adoption Brian, and all of the sweet things that was said about him.
When I lost Julie, a total stranger sent me a letter telling me that he and his wife, had lost two daughters at the same time. He said at first the pain will be hard to bear and so many memories will be there, but as time goes by, God eases the pain and lets us remember the good, happy joyful times with our lost ones.
Oh, by the way Julie was my odopted daughter.
Love, Eleda

RevaBeth, I just wanted to tell you how sorry I was to hear about the death of your son Brian. You are such a good, honest person and I want you to know there are people thinking of you. I know there aren't words that will ease the pain of a loss so great; but life's greatest consolation is knowing that in the end the Savior will make everything right for those who love Him, as such, you have great reason to smile.

You have been on my mind lately, and I have truly been missing you. I have wanted to come visit you at the school, and maybe even type up something for you, for old time's sake. I decided to give your facebook page a look, just to see how you were. I was not aware of your son's passing, and I wanted to give you my deepest condolences. I truly am so sorry for your loss, and I have been grieving for you since I read your recent status. I know you have probably been bombarded with facebook messages, and people telling you how sorry they are, but I wanted to let you know how much I do care about you. You have always been a great inspiration to me, and you touched my heart. I hope and pray for comfort for you, and your family, in these hard times, and if not complete comfort just the strength to get through each day. I wish I could take the pain of this loss away from you. If you need anything, please let me know.

I was so sorry to hear about the sudden loss of your son. I sat here in my family room and watch several of my own little ones play and sobbed for your loss. As I sat here reading all of the comments left by so many people whose lives you and your family have touched I remebered a story about Brian that you told us once way to many years ago in class.
It was of a simple trip to McDonalds shortly after he had joined your family. You told us about his first drink of Sprite and how when he sipped it up through the straw and those wonderful bubbles hit his tounge the look of wonder on his face! I know 20 odd years ago I laughed at the thought and imagined the sputtering and perhaps the coughing and the confused look at something that was not what it seemed. Now as a mother I have been blessed to remember that story everytime one of my (many) little ones discover the "new" magic of my every day. Thank you for sharing that simple story that day I might have forgotten most of what you taught me but I will forever remeber to look for the magic in the ordinary.

I just saw the posting about Brian. I am very sorry for your loss. I remember hanging out with him as a chaperon on one of the Catalina trips and he was a great guy. You and your family are in my thoughts.

Dear Beth - I have just read your words on Brian, and the obituary, and then had another little weep. I know that we only met him the once, but you were always ready to share things about him from when you had him, in the courtroom, and all through his growing up, and some of the more difficult times once he was "grown up". I know it is hard, but you have to remember the good times, funny times, he would never want you to remember these bad times. (Gee wizz, the tears are streaming down my face now ).
How are the rest of the family ?
We are going to our boat on Thursday, so I will only have my phone for emails, but I will keep in touch.
Come on girl, I know this is hard, but you are a Loveridge through and through, and you will survive, and remember - Brian was a life changing experience, and he loved you for it, and you have to go on changing lives for other people too.
All my love
Julia

RevaBeth:

I saw the obituary for your son's death. I am really saddened to hear that. I wish I had read the paper in time to get to the funeral. My sincere condolences!

Oh my dear, dear Beth - We only got back late last night, and I have only just opened up my computer. Oh Beth, how I wish I could share your burden.
